All members should have received their emailed invitation to this monthly meeting but this is just a reminder and invitation to interested non-members who may like to join us!

North QLD Conservation council has invited us to join with the Bokashi Project event and enjoy an afternoon tea watching a wonderful film called ‘ REGENERATION: An Earth Saving Revolution.? This very relevant film (40 mins) features Ken Bellamy from VRM – our local producer of liquid Bokashi, along with local (Burdekin and Ingham) and other Australian farmers who are improving their soil biology in North QLD and beyond.

* THIS Sunday 7 October, 2.00pm – 4pm

Annandale Community Centre

67-101 MacArthur Drive, Annandale (beside the Annandale shopping centre)

* Please bring a plate to share for a scrumptious afternoon of healthy goodies – coffee and tea will be provided.

We are joining the inspiring locals who have been involved in the BOKASHI project (www.nqcc.bokashiproject.org.au) that have been actively recycling their kitchen waste using the Urban composting bucket and liquid Bokashi to make bio-fert and improving soil.

If you want to know how ‘food in a bucket improves soil’ – please come along to connect with the participants and hear their stories over afternoon tea.

This is also a time to open space for discussions on the project and relevant topics.
