Hello, hello, hello

I’ve emailed out notification of this event to our contacts, but for those that live in Townsville and are really keen to get into some communal gardening activities, etc. Come along to the planning meeting PcT is having at our newly appointed plot at the Townsville Community Gardens on Pascoe Street in Railway Estate.

Please bring a Hat, Chair, something to share for afternoon tea and something for the raffle.

It is a perfect area to develop a demonstration garden and also has a large common area to hold workshops and meetings.

The meeting on Saturday, May 28th will be to allow members to check out the plot, help plan the garden and also discuss the proposed use of the area.? This area will be a showcase of what permaculture is all about so it needs to be planned carefully and well maintained. A set of guidelines will be drawn up so that we are all on the same page.? It is important we keep in mind that we will be sharing this area with other gardeners and need to be sensitive to their needs as well as our own.

We will also be calling for volunteers to help maintain the area, so if you are interested in helping please let someone in the committee know or simply come to the meeting and join in the planning process.

Thanks
