Food For Thought – 6pm on Monday the 26th of July

Hello to all Fresh Food Lovers!

Thanks for coming to our last meet up at the Cafe Dominion and welcome to the next “Film and Food” night…
@ The Balcony restaurant on Flinders Street
@ 6pm on Monday the 26th of July ( so this coming Monday)

Please bring (if you can) some tasty wholesome treats to share!

What to expect at this Gathering…

– Jan Leese the owner of the Balcony Restaurant who has be ever so kind enough to host and speak about being a “Green Table” restaurant.
– Ken Bellamy from VRM Townsville will be sharing his knowledge on recycling organic wastes to return to underpin local food production.
– Leon van Wyk will be talk about the ethical foundations of permaculture.

A film called Food Inc will be showing and we’ll round out the evening by having a nice deep discussion about some of the issues/ideas raised in the documentary.

This is a chance to connect with our community on subjects close to our hearts and stomachs! Community gardens and Farmers markets were two subjects which everyone felt needed implementation into our local community, so we shall share more of our thoughts on how we can take more action towards making this a reality!

If you would like to offer a workshop and can provide me a brief description of what knowledge/skills you wish to share, along with a specified date, time and any costing…i would love you to email me so i can put together some invitations to email out for participants!

Feel free to forward this invitation onto any friends or family that you think will enjoy this “Food for Thought Film and Food” evening 🙂
