Costa is in Townsville THIS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY February 15th and 16th

Hi everyone, sorry to post this so late, but better late than never.

Costa Georgiadis from the SBS program “Costa’s Gardening Odyssey” will be giving an interactive public lecture at JCU this Tuesday (15/02/11) afternoon. He will then be at the Food For Thought meeting in the evening (but unfortunately that has been fully reserved and the waiting list is already incredibly long)… BUT you can catch him on the Wednesday at JCU once again; he’ll be attending with the Permaculture Townsville stall at the Open Day between 10am and 2pm.

Excerpt from link:
Where: Nursing lecture theatre, Building 25, Room 001
When: Tuesday 15th February, 4:30pm to 6pm.
Booking are essential. Please book your seats by contacting tropeco@jcu.edu.au as places are limited and expected to be booked out quickly.

You may know Costa (pictured) as the full of life, always animated, SBS personality from Costa’s Garden Odyssey. Costa will share his wealth of knowledge and experience on topics such as permaculture, our relation to the environment, sustainable food production and what we can do to ensure we live a sustainable lifestyle, in a fun, interesting and interactive public lecture.

Costa has come to help launch the TropEco program, JCU’s new sustainability program, which aims to promote environmental sustainability at JCU by actively involving staff and students in various programs and initiatives.

You can also find Costa at the TropEco stall at the O-Week Market Day on Wednesday 16th February from 10am – 2pm. So come along and say hi and ask him any questions you may have.
